It is all about cooperation, choices and conviction”, Howard Shore on his profession as a composer.On the occasion of a Master Class animated by journalist Thierry Jousse, translated by Harold Manning, the composer will reveal the secrets of his music writing. It will be preceded by a concert (30’), notably performed by the Hors-Champs ensemble, with extracts from The Brood (éditions Alphonse Leduc), and The Song of Names (The Music Sales Group). The Departed (Luck’s Music Library)Extracts from the film will be performed by Nicolas Gornouvel and Éric Franceries.
Jean Michel Bernard, virtuoso pianist, friend of Howard Shore Jean-Michel Bernard, with whom he collaborated for the music of Hugo Cabret by Marin Scorsese, will honour us by playing a solo medley of Shore’s musical pieces.
This evening will be opportunity for Sacem to present Howard Shore lifelong medal.
